Placebo Response Prediction Tool for Osteoarthritis Intra-Articular Injection Trials
This tool is developed based on a model-based meta-analysis (MBMA), aiming to help researchers and clinicians predict placebo responses in patients with osteoarthritis (OA) receiving intra-articular injections.
By entering key clinical variables (e.g., baseline symptom severity, type of placebo, target joints, BMI) and a time point, you can quickly obtain the typical placebo response values at that time point for the following outcomes: WOMAC pain, VAS pain, WOMAC stiffness, WOMAC function, WOMAC total.
To ensure reliable predictions, the model defines a reasonable range for each input variable. Accurate predictions are only guaranteed when the input values fall within the range covered by existing studies.
This tool provides a standardized reference for clinical trial design and clinical decision-making.
